Cultural Education
Arts & Crafts:
Traditional arts and crafts reflect the creativity, resilience, and teachings of Indigenous people. Through hands-on workshops and gatherings, participants learn skills such as weaving, beading, basket making, and other cultural practices that carry stories and ancestral knowledge.

These activities strengthen cultural identity, foster self-expression, and create opportunities to pass traditions to future generations.

Elder Knowledge Sharing:
Elders carry the wisdom, stories, and teachings that connect us to our ancestors and the land. Through gatherings, demonstrations, and storytelling, they share cultural practices and life lessons that guide us in living with balance and respect.

These exchanges ensure that traditions are carried forward, strengthening identity and fostering intergenerational learning within the community.

Language Revitalization:
Our language is our identity. Through classes, storytelling, and intergenerational learning, we work with elders and knowledge keepers to strengthen and revitalize Indigenous languages.
These efforts preserve cultural identity, restore ancestral connections, and ensure that future generations can speak the words that connect us to the land, our traditions, and each other.

Community Gatherings:
Our community gatherings bring people together to learn, share, and strengthen connections through cultural teachings and collective experiences. Guided by elders, knowledge keepers, and community leaders.
These gatherings strengthen cultural identity, nurture healing, and create a sense of belonging for Indigenous women, families, and community.

Wellness Activities
Ecotherapy:
Eco-therapy nurtures wellness by reconnecting mind, body, and spirit with the natural world. Through guided activities along the river and in the desert landscape, participants engage in mindfulness, movement, and reflection rooted in Indigenous perspectives of balance and respect for the earth.

These practices promote healing, reduce stress, and strengthen the spiritual relationship between people and the land.

Food Sovereignty:
Food sovereignty is about reclaiming the right to grow, gather, hunt, and share traditional foods in ways that honor our culture, land, and ancestors. It is an act of self-sufficiency and healing. By learning from elders and knowledge keepers, we revitalize traditional foods through harvesting, seed preservation, and cultural teachings.

These practices restore balance, promote wellness, and ensure that Indigenous communities can sustain themselves in ways that honor both tradition and the earth.

Traditional Plant Medicine
Traditional plant medicine connects us to the wisdom of the earth and the healing practices passed down through generations. Guided by elders and knowledge keepers, we learn to identify Arizona native plants, understand their medicinal value, and explore how they continue to support wellness today through teachings and demonstrations.
These practices honor ancestral knowledge, strengthen cultural identity, and nurture physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Talking Circles
Talking circles provide a safe and supportive space for Indigenous women to share stories, listen and heal together. Guided by tradition, the circle fosters balance, equality, and healing, reminding us that every story carries wisdom and every voice holds value.
Through this practice, we strengthen connections, release burdens, and nurture emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
